Clinical nurse specialist
Margaret Troup is a Clinical Nurse Specialist who completed her Registered Nurses training at the Prince Henry and Prince of Wales Hospitals and has been working as a Registered Nurse for 35 years.
Her career has spanned general practice, cardio-thoracic surgery, pathology, endocrinology, cardiology, anaesthetics, recovery and day surgery. Since 2009 she has worked with pre- and post-op urological patients at Hornsby Ku-ring-Gai Hospital and continues to work there on a casual basis.
In 2014 Margaret won the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital’s Norma Jeckeln award. She won this award for outstanding leadership, compassion, and dedication. At Norwest Private Hospital Margaret provides pre-operative and post-operative patient education and support. She performs urological procedures in our treatment room including flow studies and formal Urodynamics. Patients and GPs can contact her on 0438 158 854.
The practice is very fortunate to have a highly experienced clinical nurse specialist, with extensive nursing experience throughout various hospital settings within Sydney over the past 35 years.
Sr Troup is a full time nurse in the practice and consults alongside Dr Haddad, such that the patient moves from the medical consultative process and then onto the nursing consultative process and is provided with comprehensive pre-operative and post operative education and support.
Sr Troup also performs the urinary flow studies and urodynamics in our treatment room. She is able to manage urinary catheters and suprapubic re-sitings, as well as manage wound issues and removes sutures and skin clips.
She provides instruction in relation to pelvic floor re-training and erectile rehabilitative methods. She is a highly valued member of our team.
Dr. Richard Haddad

Dr Richard Haddad is an experienced urological surgeon. He undertook post fellowship sub-specialised training in robotic cancer surgery, McGill University Health Centre, Montreal Canada.
Erika commenced her medical administration career at The Royal Alexandria Hospital for Children in Camperdown in 1987, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.
